1. THE BEATLES: ABBEY ROAD
Well it wouldn’t feel quite right if we left this masterpiece off, would it? Forever cementing a crosswalk in London as a key landmark this piece of art was beyond influential in its peak. Their previous releases had seen amassing popularity however it was their decision to ditch graphics, favoured artists and all that fancy stuff which gave Abbey Road its edge. 2. PINK FLOYD: A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS
You’ve heard of much loved, respected and desired sleeve artists Hipgnosis, right? Well they rose to fame after creating this awesome feature for Pink Floyd way back in 1968 when they were still just known as art buddies Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell. Needless to say, they became some of the best cover artists of all time.
3. EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER: BRAIN SALAD SURGERY
This progressive rock LP shook the general-public not only for its sound but for its use of Swiss artist H.R. Giger’s individual and cotemporary style. It was this sleeve cover that firmly cemented Giger’s career as an artist.
