If you’re into gaming...
...then there’s no doubt in our minds that you’re anxiously awaiting the release of Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe. Already ordered on Steam? Yes, we thought so! But, did you know that if you’ve pre-ordered you’ll receive the deep space explorer armour? Well, if you didn’t then perhaps you’re not as clued up as you thought you were. Don’t worry too much though because that’s where we come in. We’re here to clue you up on all things Mass Effect, so you can look like the expert by the time you get a chance to play the game.
It’s been months and months since there was something this anticipated out in the stores. We’re huge Mass Effect fans and for them to be so quiet for so long had us feeling a little bit weary. Remember that time it took them FIVE years to bring out a new installment? We sure do. But with the upcoming release of Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe edition, all our prayers have been answered and we can go to bed sleeping easy at night once more. Well, not too easy if it’s going to have as many jump-scares as the last one.
Our Rating
We must give the Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe a 4/5-star rating. Why? Well first off have you seen how many freebies you get just for pre-ordering?! It’s a little insane. We know we’ve already mentioned the deep space explorer armor but we left out the multiplayer booster pack and a free bonus skin, perfect for your ship, Nomad. Did you know that booster pack holds five 50% XP boosters?! Can you tell we’re already insanely excited to get this bad boy home?
So, What’s New?
There are quite a lot of new enhancements! We’ve noticed that a lot of these type of video games tend to offer up a brand spanking new deluxe or bonus edition and fail to change very much aside from say, a skin or two. Well, you need not worry of that happening with Mass Effect Andromeda’s 2.0 return because, seriously, we were happily surprised. With the constant promotion for this game and advertisements on TV we already had our standards set high. But, we don’t need to fret over it not living up to our expectations anymore because we’ve only gone and got it.
The nitty gritty is that there’s 1001 new updates you need to be made aware of before you purchase and start playing. So, listen up, because we’re going to save you hours in gameplay trying to figure it all out. Ready? Let’s begin.
What We Like
1. Freebies!
Duh, who doesn’t? If you’re not totally insane, you’ll love a whole bunch of free stuff. So, obviously, that was going to be our number one benefit of pre-ordering the new Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe.
2. Gameplay Enhancements
So, not only will you be getting the best quality ultra-ultra HD views on your screen. You’ll also be buying in for extra armor sets, weapon sets, the official soundtrack, the multi-player deluxe launch pack AND a pet monkey… what?! Your court missions are going to be easy as pie with all this extra armor, XP and weaponry… I think even I could do it!
What We Dislike
1. Cost
If you want enhanced players, landscapes and gameplay then please don’t let this factor stop you from trying it out. Because, although we’re in a grump over the price, we still loved it to give it 4/5-stars. For us that’s decent! $70 freaking, dollars. Do you see that? $70! Yes, we’re a little hung on the price, okay? If we’re honest this should just be a constant factor in any video game review where a newer more improved version is released. We just spent months saving our pennies for the last game. Can’t you just get it right the first time? Is that too much to ask for?
2. The Deluxe and the Super Deluxe
Without sounding too much like old grannies, it’s like they’re trying to bring out pack one, for those of us who are tight. Pack two (Deluxe) for us avid gamers, and finally pack 3 (Super Deluxe) for those people that think they’re good at gaming and just buy absolutely everything. Whilst you don’t necessarily need pack 3, it does come with some great added bonuses that even we can’t deny. So, if you’re on the market for another 20-multiplayer, super deluxe, multi-packs (or one for every week). Then feel free to splash out $100 more dollars!... Yeah, or not!
Video Games: Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Review Conclusion
Regardless of our opinion we hope you have a great time playing this game because it does look like it’s going to be a great one. See you on the other side my friends!
